ZanaFest

The mission of ZanaFest is to support the Richard D. Zana Memorial Fund, of the Beaver County Foundation, a 501(C)(3) Community Foundation. The purpose of the fund is to provide music scholarships for talented area students and to benefit cancer research.

Please support and join us as we celebrate a man who taught us all how to enjoy life through music. He brought joy and laughter to all who knew him and is deeply missed.

Welcome to the 2009 ZanaFest Website!

Zanafest 2009, the 1st annual Richard Zana Music Festival, will take place indoor and outdoor on October 24 and 25, 2009 at The Venue at Harmony Ridge, formerly the Ambridge Country Club.

ZanaFest 2009 is a music festival and celebration of the life and career of one of Beaver County's most influential teachers, Richard D. Zana. It is organized by an appreciative group of former students and colleagues.

Richard Zana was born in Tarentum, PA on August 6, 1940 and graduated in 1958 from Leechburg High School. He received his B.S. in Music Education in 1962 from Indiana University of Pennsylvania and his Masters in Music Education in 1964 from Duquesne University. Mr. Zana passed away on July 13, 2008 after a long battle with cancer. More...
